What is it and what does it offer?

Erasmus+ study is a mobility program sponsored by the EU that offers students the opportunity to spend a period of time (from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 12 months) at a partner university. Erasmus students can receive an ad hoc EU contribution for university lessons and use of the partner university’s structures without having to pay extra fees. The study period is guaranteed to be recognized and the university credits will be registered in the student’s university career, as long as the Learning Agreement for studies is arranged and agreed before the mobility starts.

The Erasmus+ program enables students to enjoy cultural experiences abroad, learn about different university programs, perfect their language skills and meet students from other countries, while participating actively in constructing an encreasingly united EU.

What are the aims of Erasmus+ for study?

Erasmus+ for study allows students to attend courses and take exams, spend periods studying, doing traineeships and/or research for their thesis (compatibly with the partner university’s rules). University credits will be recognized at the end of the mobility period, as long as the Learning Agreement for Studies (click here) was approved by the University of Florence before the start of the mobility.

Where can I go?

The Erasmus+ for study period can be carried out in one of the University of Florence’s partner universities (bilateral agreement). The Erasmus+ program includes the possibility to spend the mobility program in States that are members of the EU, the European Economic Area (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein) and EU candidate States (Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey).

The complete list of partner universities is updated yearly, therefore the definitive list will be available when the University posts the call.

Duration of the mobility

The mobility period for the academic year 2024/2025 can take place starting from the 15th of July 2024 and ending strictly by the 30th of September 2025. One or more Erasmus+ mobilities (Eramus+ study and/or Erasmus+ traineeship) are allowed during your university career, up to a maximum of 12 months (360 days) of mobility, in each cycle of study (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctorate). Students who are enrolled in a single cycle degree programme may spend a maximum of 24 months in total, with a maximum of 12 months per call.

Who can participate?

Students who are regularly enrolled in a degree program of the Agriculture College in the University of Florence (or, in case of a master’s degree, whoever plans to enroll before leaving for a mobility period);

Students who have not been Erasmus students for more than 12 months (24 month for single cycle degrees) for the study degree that they are enrolled in and which they will visit during their mobility period. This is valid not only for the University of Florence, but also for other Italian and European Universities;

Students who have not accepted other EU contributions to spend a period abroad during the period for which the student plans to be on an Erasmus.
