Learning Objectives
The course is designed to impart knowledge on the principles and operational aspects of sustainable forest management, based on a solid theoretical background connecting historical aspects and innovative approaches and theories (complexity, systemic approach, adaptive management). The course provides the tools for understanding the processes that underlie the elaboration of forest management plans and the skills needed for their practical implementation.

During the course there will be organized discussion sessions on different aspects of forest management. Scientific papers and other material will be provided to students before discussion.
