Learning Objectives
Knowledge acquired: the main goal is to form the students in relation to problems concerning the working of farm and forestry buildings and concerning the survey and representation of the territory.
Competence acquired at the end of the course: Methods to evaluate and design farm and forestry buildings; methods to read maps and to carry out topographic works.
Skills acquired at the end of the course:
the student must acquire capacities necessary to carry out works concerning the design of rural and forestry buildings. The student has to know the reading and using of the maps, in order to carry out topographic surveys and to analyze the territory.

Type of Assessment
Exam modality: Intermediate tests on 3 parts of the course (statics; environmental control and materials; topography and cartography); each trial in progress is assigned a score in tenths or thirtieths. If all the tests are passed, the mark is attributed directly. The parts not covered in the ongoing tests or not passed must be brought to the oral exam. The final oral exam is required for those who have not completed all the ongoing tests. final oral exam.
The intermediate tests are carried out in presence in the classroom. In alternative, the teacher can decide to use the Moodle platform for the intermediate tests.
Intermediate tests are counted for final vote.
Intermediate tests remain valid in the following academic years.
Evaluation criteria: in written tests with open questions or carrying out calculations, the unsuccessful answer and the wrong answer are considered in the same way; the oral exam takes into account: argumentative rigor, completeness, originality, language properties.

Calculus of environmental control in farm houses (in information room).
Individuation of transmission coefficient (K). Choice of materials. Design of a building for forest environments.
Reading of topographic maps. Use of topographic instruments and survey trials.
