the course introduces the basic concepts necessary for setting up landscape monitoring in the context of territorial planning, rural development programming, agro-forestry-pastoral land management and the main international and national programs for the conservation of the rural landscape. The course will provide the skills necessary to understand the characteristics of the rural landscape and to set up and manage a territorial monitoring system at various scales.

History of the rural landscape. Theoretical bases and practical applications relating to Territorial Information Systems (GIS); knowledge of the principles of planning, programming and management of the agro-forestry-pastoral territory.
