Learning Objectives
The main aims of this course are: to teach the fundamental concepts of classical physics; to convey the ideas of the modern scientific method; to make the student able to analyse and solve known problems as well new ones and to critically judge the obtained results.
Prerequisites
Algebraic operations with real numbers, geometry, analythic geometry, trigonometry, study of functions.

Type of Assessment
Written exam (two hours) and verbal test (about 45 minutes). The written exam consists in the resolution of exercises (similar to those performed during the course and present in the suggested textbooks) which allow to verify the knowledge of the students, as well as their comprehension, analysis and resolution capacity concerning problems of physics. A successful written exam admits the student to the oral test. During the oral test the student is asked to explain, using the blackboard, the topics discussed during the lectures, and to reason on the most important concepts of the physics subjects. A proper language will be considered important.
