The course provides students with the elements of knowledge and analysis of all operations and related choices within the agro-energy supply chains. The course focuses on techniques for implementing agro-energy supply chains and on technologies for energy recovery and enhancement. The main supply chains are analyzed from a technical point of view, construction sites and plant lines, efficiency, quality, economic and environmental sustainability.

Learning Objectives
Introduce the student to the leading techniques and technologies related to the recovery and energy enhancement of agro-forest biomass.
The course focuses its attention on the issues related to the proper implementation of the supply chains considering the aspects relating to energy efficiency without neglecting the references in the field of bioenergy and the environment.
The skills acquired by the course allow the student to design an agro-energy chains in all phases ranging from the evaluation of primary resources (availability and territorial distribution of biomass), to the choice of the most suitable technology for the exploitation of resources and optimized management from an energy, environmental and economic point of view.
The student will acquire the ability to follow the start-up phases of a supply chain, from the evaluation of biomass availability to the various options for energy production, taking into account environmental and economic as well as social aspects.
Prerequisites
