Reminders of Statistics applied to a forest mensuration, volume calculation of trees and forest stands, volume calculation of fire wood and processed, sampling techniques, hints of forest mensuration and growth
La Marca O., 1999, Elementi di Dendrometria, Patron editore, Bologna
Learning Objectives
Knowledge acquired: techniques of survey mensuration, the best methodologies for the estimation of prescribed yield for the trade of wood and timber.(At the end of the course) - During the course students will acquire the techniques of forest mensuration survey. Furthermore, they will acquire precised methodologies for the estimation of a large quantity of retractable wood from forests and for the trade of firewood and timber.
Competence acquired: use of most common forest mensuration tools
Skills acquired bay the end of the course: Standing volume estimation: Use of forest mensuration tools. Forest growth and yield principles.
